Background Information:
Kate is an Occupational Therapist completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2007 and is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. Kate worked in a specialist personality disorder team leading an occupational therapy group work programme and providing individual occupational therapy assessment and intervention. Kate utilises occupational therapy models such as the Model of Human Occupation and integrates this with a sensory modulation approach and additional occupational therapy tools and strategies. Kate uses an individual approach, which is client led and will include discussion, written worksheets and practical experience of occupational activities.
Reflection on occupational engagement is a key element of the process and this enables Kate to ensure that individual experiences and needs are central to the therapy.
