Background Information:

James is a HCPC registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist, having qualified in 2011.

James graduated with a first class (Hons) Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Bangor, North Wales, before moving on to do a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology in Glasgow. James subsequently completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leeds.

James is a dedicated, committed, and passionate psychologist. Throughout his personal life, James adopts a kind and caring attitude, showing sensitivity, empathy, and respect with clients and colleagues alike. James values his sense of integrity and his sense of humour, which he believes shows throughout his personal and professional life. James’s life experiences and personal attributes enable him to develop trusting therapeutic relationships, which allows clients to feel safe and looked after during their therapeutic journey.

James’s qualified experience has seen him working with children, young people and their families in the NHS and voluntary sectors. James has developed expertise in supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of adults, young people, and children through work in a range of settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health services, child development teams, and therapeutic social work settings.
