Background Information:

Jamie is a senior clinical psychologist working in both the NHS and private practice. During her NHS role, Jamie provides support to young people and their families experiencing eating disorders, and other co-occuring difficulties. This draws upon systemic therapy frameworks, and considers the individuals needs within the context of other people and the systems around them. These systemic principles are something Jamie holds in mind throughout her work.

Jamie takes a person-centred view and an integrative approach to therapy, drawing primarily on Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Systemic Therapy, and attachment theory. Jamie offers support for those experiencing low-mood, anxiety, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma. Jamie aims to offer a safe space to develop a collaborative understanding, and to tailor the therapeutic approach to the individual.

Jamie has worked in eating disorder services for much of her career, and is able to offer interventions for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and otherwise specified or atypical eating disorders and difficulties. This includes CBT-E (Enhanced CBT) and MANTRA (Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults).

Jamie is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Psychologist and a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
