Background Information:
Becky is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Becky has over 15 years’ experience of working with adults in NHS mental health services (including community mental health centres, inpatient units, forensic settings and specialist services) and within the Charity sector. She has worked with a wide range of mental health issues and with different levels of severity.
Becky specialises in working with adults on the autism spectrum who may be experiencing difficulties in their mental health or struggling within their relationships. She is accredited to be able to offer NICE approved diagnostic assessments for Autism including the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO).
Becky is experienced in both individual and group therapy. She is collaborative in her approach to the individuals she works with ensuring that interventions are informed by a detailed formulation of both strengths and need and that they make sense to the individual.
Becky aims to work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy.
