Working with together with adults to address personal and psychological issues, using an integrative model of counselling and psychotherapy to help you deal with the following issues:
Crime – victim or offender
Abuse – Historical and ongoing
Gender and sexual identity
I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). My model of working is relational and treats the relationship between therapist and client with the upmost importance. I aim to create a safe space where you can explore and talk about your problems, concerns, hopes and anything you feel troubled by. I will endeavour to help you in an non-judgemental, supportive and empowering way. I hope to review our work together frequently so you can see how far you have come, and end our sessions when we agree you are ready.
My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is as unique as you are, I have trained in several fields and use an multifaceted approach to help you in whichever way seems best. I consider my work a collaborative effort where we would work together to identify negative patterns of behaviour and consider ways to change them.
In my professional life I have worked in prisons, men’s sexual health charities and supporting victims of crime. This experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people on a wide array of topics, such as the ones included above. After a full length introductory session where we will discuss what you hope to achieve from counselling, how I work and how long you would like to come to counselling for, we can decide if we would be a good fit for one another.
